Thirty-one Masters swimmers from
Wisconsin competed in the USMS Short Course Nationals in Federal
Way, Washington, May 17th-20th. Wisconsin earned 7th place overall
in the Combined Team category. Wisconsin Women earned 5th place in
the Woman's category. Wisconsin Men earned 12th place in the Men's
category. There were 158 teams participating.

Contratulations to Team Wisconsin Masters Aquatic Club National
Champions who won first in their events: Jocelyn Rau (25-29 100
Freestyle and 50 Freestyle); Trina Schaetz (30-34 50 Freestyle); the
25+ Women's 200 Medley Relay (Joselyn Rau, Sarah Schneider, Jessica
Diel and Trina Schaetz); and the 35+ Men's 200 Freestyle Relay (Laren
Tiltmann, Dan Schaetz, Don Rambadt and Tim Young).
Pictured above, wearing the distinctive red "Mt. Ranier or Bust"
t-shirts donated by All American Aquatics are Don Rambadt (facing
front) and John Bauman (facing back). The shirts were eye-catching.
Combined with the excellent swimming of the Wisconsin Masters, the
team was definitely noticed.
